I've recently transitioned to working from home and I'm in search of an ergonomic office chair for my home workspace. My budget is ideally under $500, but I'm open to spending a little more if it seems justified. I'm considering both new and used options. I'd love to hear about any chairs you've enjoyed using that fit within this price range. Thanks in advance!

I got a Branch chair last year as a gift, and I've been really happy with it! With plenty of adjustments and an add-on headrest, it fits my needs well for long working hours.
If you can find a used Aeron or a Steelcase Leap, they’re both fantastic and well-loved. It’s helpful to test them out in-store first to see which you prefer, especially when it comes to comfort.
The Autonomous chair has worked wonders for me—lots of customization options! However, I’m using an older model, so quality might have changed since then.
A used Herman Miller Aeron is definitely a solid choice. There's a lot of them available due to office consolidations, so you might score a good deal. It’s worth checking sites like eBay or even local classifieds for options.
For sure! I've seen them sell there for quite a bit cheaper too, you just need to keep an eye out.
Absolutely, the Aeron has parts that can be replaced, which is a big plus.

I can second that—I'm tall too, and it gives me great back support.
