I'm considering switching to Linux as Windows 10 reaches its end of life, but I've hit a snag. I tried installing Linux Mint but couldn't connect to the internet, whether through Wi-Fi or Ethernet. I'm looking for advice on which distribution to use and any tips on getting it up and running successfully. Ideally, I want a system that feels similar to Windows.

If you're having internet issues with Mint, it might be due to some hardware compatibility problems. When you're back on Linux, running the command `lspci -k` can help identify what networking hardware you have and which drivers are in use. This will give us a better idea of what's going wrong.

Got it! I’ll try that command next time. I did notice it detected a Realtek controller, so maybe that's the issue.
