Seeking a Portable PC Case for Easy Transport

I'm in the market for a PC case that's easy to transport, especially for LAN parties or just taking it to friends' places. I need something that I can handle on the bus and train without worrying about damages, but I don't need it for air travel. I'm not looking for a Pelican briefcase or anything like that; I'm talking about a proper case that securely fits the motherboard, PSU, and other components.

I have a few ideas about what this case should have:
- Ideally, a built-in handle that's a solid part of the case's frame rather than something that might break off easily. Think of it more like a turtle's shell where the handle is integral to the design.
- If there's no handle, having slits at the bottom for secure straps would be cool. I've seen cases engineered for that, but I'm not sure about how well they'd hold up during transport.
- I don't think transparent sides are a great idea, as they're fragile and restrict airflow.
- A vertical design seems more practical since it saves space on tables during events.
- Good airflow is crucial since I'll be using high-end components and I'd likely replace any included fans with something more powerful.

Furthermore, I need the case to fit a 9070 XT and accommodate SFX/ATX sized PSUs and various motherboard types. Air cooling is preferable over liquid cooling for reliability while being transported.

I'm open to unconventional solutions too, whether it's harnesses or something else that isn't really a standard PC case. However, I'm not looking for a laptop since I already have one and don't enjoy using it. Any recommendations?

A super simple option is to just grab some carrying straps from places like AliExpress or Temu. They're cheap—like five bucks. Handles normally included with cases aren’t always comfy or functional, but a strap can make it way easier to handle!

You might want to check out the Montech Heritage Pro. It's a microATX case, so it should fit your parts if you've got a mATX motherboard without any issues. Just keep in mind that while it has a handle, some folks worry it might not be sturdy enough for frequent transport. Might not be the best option if you're lugging it around a lot!

Yeah, I've seen those handles too. They seem more for occasional moves than serious transport, which is kind of a letdown if you need a reliable grip for carrying.

Check out the Cougar Panzer Max if you're looking for something substantial. It's a pretty big tower case with an acrylic window, but if that’s not your style, the SilverStone Sugo SG12 is another solid choice—it has everything you need as long as your CPU cooler is low-profile. For smaller towers, the Cooler Master Qube 500 is cool and fits longer GPUs. Also, the Asus TUF Gaming cases come with carrying straps and are designed for easy transport; they might be worth a look.
