Hey everyone! I'm putting together a PC on a tight budget. I'm focusing on an AM4 platform since AM5 would break the bank, especially with DDR5 RAM prices skyrocketing. This build is mainly for gaming and watching videos—no creative work for me. I'll be purchasing the components from Amazon in Turkey. Here's what I have planned out:
- CPU: Ryzen 7 5700X
- Motherboard: MSI A520M-A PRO AM4 DDR4 (mATX)
- GPU: Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT
- PSU: MSI MAG A750BN 750W 80+ Bronze
- RAM: G.Skill (2x8GB) Ripjaws V Gaming 3200 MHz CL16
- Case: MSI MAG FORGE 120A AIRFLOW (mATX)
- Storage: WD Blue SA510 500GB M.2 SSD (560 MB Read/510 MB Write)
- Cooling: AMD Wraith Stealth Fan
I wanted to highlight a couple of things:
- I considered AM5, but the DDR5 prices are just too high for me right now.
- I'm thinking about switching down to a single stick of 8 GB RAM if it means I can add liquid cooling (like the Corsair H100i 240mm).
- I'm planning to game at 1440p, but I'd like to know if the combo of my CPU and GPU will create a noticeable bottleneck.
- I'm set on this GPU and won't downgrade for AM5, but I'm planning to upgrade to AM6 down the line.
- Lastly, I'd love any recommendations for an affordable CPU fan.
So, will I encounter any compatibility issues, power shortages, or noticeable bottlenecks with this setup?

I’d also recommend going for a B550 motherboard if you can swing it. It offers better compatibility and performance than the A520. And yeah, 16GB is pretty much the sweet spot for gaming now.
You're on the right track with the Ryzen 7 and RX 9070 XT combo, but shifting to 16GB RAM is crucial, especially for any longer gaming sessions. The CPU and GPU should work well together without major bottlenecks, especially at your resolution.
Make sure you pick a motherboard with a solid chipset; a B550 variant might suit your needs better than the A520. It’ll give you more options down the line if you decide to upgrade. Plus, 8GB of RAM just won’t cut it anymore for gaming at 1440p, so stick to 16GB for smoother performance.
