Seeking Feedback on My First PC Build for 1080p Gaming

Hey everyone! I'm getting started on my first PC build and would love your input before making any purchases. I'm aiming for a strong 1080p gaming setup that runs smoothly at high frame rates, ideally paired with my 144Hz monitor. Here's what I've got on my wishlist so far:

- CPU: Ryzen 5 5600
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Eagle WiFi6 (ATX)
- RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4-3200 CL16
- Storage: WD Black SN770 2TB NVMe SSD
- GPU: Sapphire Pulse RX 6700 XT (looking to buy used if possible)
- Case: Phanteks XT Pro ATX Mid Tower
- Power Supply: MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 750W 80+ Gold (fully modular)
- Monitor: LG UltraGear 24G411A-B 27" 1080p 144Hz

I'm hoping for a well-rounded build that won't bottleneck performance, and I have a few specific questions:
- Is this a balanced setup overall?
- Is the RX 6700 XT a good choice for 1080p at 144Hz?
- Is 32GB of RAM overkill or a smart move for the long run?
- Are there any parts you'd suggest swapping out for better value?

Thanks for any advice or suggestions!

If I were you, I'd look into a different monitor model. A 24-inch 1080p 144-180Hz IPS display could provide better visuals than the one you’ve picked. The one you currently selected is okay, but you might find something better suited.

One thing to consider is adding a tower air cooler, since the Ryzen 5 5600 usually doesn't come with one. You might also want to throw in a cheap 120mm fan for better cooling. Your build looks solid overall! Just remember, you'll eventually want to upgrade to a higher resolution monitor, but that's not urgent right now.

I would definitely recommend checking the pricing on that RX 6700 XT before buying. Prices can be all over the place lately, so see if you can snag a used one at a good deal. Also, don’t forget about cooling—having a good cooler is key!

Thanks for the heads-up! I'll keep an eye on prices and definitely plan to get a cooler.

Good point! I think the 24" version of the monitor I have now will be easily available soon, so that's a relief!
