Hey everyone! I'm gearing up to build my first PC in 8 years and wanted to get some opinions before I make the final purchase. Here's my planned build:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz 8-Core Processor
- **CPU Cooler**: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 White
- **Motherboard**: Gigabyte X870 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 ICE ATX AM5
- **Memory**: 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-6000 (I'm thinking of going with this but open to suggestions!)
- **Storage**: Western Digital WD_Black SN850X 4 TB NVME SSD
- **Video Card**: Gigabyte AERO OC GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB
- **Case**: Corsair 3500X ARGB Mid Tower
- **Power Supply**: MSI MAG A850GL 850W
- **Operating System**: Microsoft Windows 11 Home 64-bit
Total comes to around $2585.22. I'd love any advice or insight before I click that 'buy' button!

I’d hold off on the 64 GB of RAM unless you have specific heavy multitasking needs. For most gaming, 32 GB is plenty. Also, consider going for 2x32 GB instead of 4x16 GB for better stability.
Honestly, 32 GB of RAM is enough for gaming unless you're planning to multitask like crazy. And about the GPU, keep an eye on prices; new models could provide better value soon. Also, I think your case is kinda ugly just my opinion.
Hey, to each their own! But I totally get wanting a case that looks as good as it performs.
If you're looking to save, I can suggest a few alternatives while keeping the same aesthetic. You might switch to a less expensive motherboard and a different case for better airflow, plus some cheaper fans to boost performance while staying within budget!
I just grabbed a 5080 for MSRP, and honestly, I'd think about waiting. The price for the 5070 is steep when performance wise they're pretty close. You might save some cash and get better performance.
Yeah, the difference in performance is minimal between the two cards!

Totally agree! 2x32 GB is a smart choice for stability.
