Hey everyone,
I just installed an RTX 5070 12GB GPU into my setup, and I'm running into some major FPS problems while gaming. Here are my specs:
- Ryzen 5 5600x
- 32GB RAM (2x16GB)
- 750W Be Quiet PSU
- Two 1TB storage drives
- RTX 5070 12GB GPU
Primarily, I play Escape from Tarkov at 1440p, but since upgrading, my frame rates are all over the place. I'm getting anywhere from 30 to 70 FPS during raids, whereas my old 3060 consistently held around 50-70 FPS. I've made sure to download all the latest updates for the GPU, but I'm completely stumped as to why my performance has dropped after the upgrade. I've checked for bottlenecking and ruled that out, so I'm looking for any advice or suggestions. Did I miss a step somewhere? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to wipe your old drivers before installing the new ones? It's important to do a fresh install to avoid conflicts. Just reboot into safe mode and run DDU, then install the drivers directly from Nvidia's website instead of the app.
Absolutely, using DDU is a great idea! Doing it manually can help resolve any lingering issues from your old setup.

I just logged into the Nvidia app and reinstalled the drivers from there. Do you think that's where I went wrong?
