Severe FPS Issues After Upgrading to RX 7600

Hey everyone! I recently made the switch from a GTX 1660 Super to an AMD Radeon RX 7600, but I'm facing some serious issues. Ever since the upgrade, I've been experiencing drastic frame drops, stuttering, and random full screen freezes. Surprisingly, the RX 7600 seems to perform worse than my old GPU, even during lighter tasks like playing Fortnite in Creative or Performance Mode. Here are my system specs:
- CPU: Intel Core i7-10700F
- Motherboard: MSI MAG B460M Mortar WiFi
- RAM: 32GB DDR4-2666 (Crucial ValueRAM)
- GPU: Radeon RX 7600
- Storage: Samsung 970 Pro NVMe
- PSU: 600W Cooler Master

I've already tried a bunch of troubleshooting steps like using DDU for clean driver removals, installing fresh drivers, tweaking BIOS and power settings, checking my monitor's refresh rate, V-Sync/FreeSync, and even testing the health of my RAM and storage. Despite all that, the problem keeps happening, while my GTX 1660 Super was rock solid on the same setup. I'm starting to think it might be a compatibility issue with RDNA3 GPUs on older Intel platforms, especially with DDR4-2666 and PCIe 3.0. Has anyone else dealt with similar issues using RX 7000-series GPUs on a 10th-generation Intel system? Any insights would be appreciated!

Your CPU temp seems decent at around 70 degrees Celsius, but make sure it's not getting hotter during heavy gaming. Keeping the CPU cool is crucial as it can throttle down performance if it gets too hot.

Thanks for the tip! I'm monitoring it, and it seems fine at the moment, but I’ll keep an eye on it during gameplay.

It sounds like you might be hitting a CPU bottleneck depending on your game and settings. When gaming, check your CPU and GPU usage; if your CPU usage is close to 100% while your GPU is much lower, that’s a sign. Also, the RX 7600 operates on X8 PCIe lanes, which could cause more performance issues on PCIe 3.0 than expected. Make sure your CPU temps are under control too; high temperatures can lead to thermal throttling, especially under heavier loads from the new GPU. Don't forget to flash the latest BIOS and enable XMP for your RAM if it's supported!

What are your 1% low FPS and CPU/GPU usage stats while gaming? Those low FPS numbers during stuttering can indicate performance scaling issues due to the older CPU, along with slower RAM and PCIe 3.0 X8 configuration. Unfortunately, if that’s the case, upgrading to a newer CPU, motherboard, and RAM might be necessary.
