I'm looking for insights from anyone who's tried both Shadcn and Hero UI regarding their use for an ERP dashboard. I'd love to know which one you think is better overall and if you've encountered any issues while using them. Thanks in advance!

I've messed with both and Shadcn is definitely more flexible, like Tailwind combined with Radix primitives. It’s perfect if you want to maintain control over your code for something like an ERP dashboard. Just keep in mind, it requires some setup and discipline to maintain style consistency. Hero UI, while easier to start with, can become limiting as you develop more complex needs. So if you want speed during the MVP phase, go with Hero, but for ongoing projects, Shadcn is the way to go.
In my experience, Shadcn has broader coverage compared to Hero UI. You can usually find a Shadcn version of the component you’re looking for easily. While Hero UI has a solid set of ready-made components and an opinionated design system, it lacks the customization that Shadcn provides. If you’d rather have the freedom to tweak every little detail, go for Shadcn, but if you're looking for speedy setups with polished components, Hero UI is a good option.
From what I've seen, Shadcn generally comes out on top, but it really depends on what you need. If customization is your thing, Shadcn lets you tweak components a lot. On the flip side, if you prefer more plug-and-play options, Hero UI could be your go-to, although it gives you less flexibility with styles.
Exactly! If you need something quick and easy, Hero UI is better. But for long-term projects, Shadcn might save you headaches later.

Totally agree! Shadcn can be overwhelming with all its customization options, but that flexibility is valuable in the long run.
