Should I Be Worried About High EMF Readings from My Devices?

I've been using an app called All Devices Detector Finder to measure EMF levels, and I've noticed some pretty high readings from various household items. For example, my Harmon Kardon Bluetooth speaker showed a reading of 1070 UT, and even my Sony radio and lamp were in the 800-900 UT range. I moved all these items to the farthest room in my house because I'm concerned they might be spying devices. Am I just being paranoid, or do these readings mean something more?

The app mainly uses your phone's magnetometer to detect magnetic fields. Devices with electric currents will create magnetic fields, which is why you're seeing high numbers. If something is powered off and still showing high readings, that's odd, but many electronics can still give off some residual readings when unplugged. It could also be interference from other sources. If you suspect hidden devices, you might investigate further, but generally, those readings are nothing to lose sleep over.

Thanks for the clarification! But I did notice the high readings even when those items were turned off. For instance, my home gym equipment has a metal hook for height adjustment that registered 1000 UT. It's making me a bit more curious about what's happening.

Honestly, a lot of these apps are not very reliable. The readings you're seeing are pretty normal for devices that use electricity. Everything that runs on power will produce some level of a magnetic field, especially when they're switched on. You really don’t need to worry too much about it!

Thank you! That really makes me feel better.
