Hey folks, I recently built a PC and have a Seasonic TX-1600 PSU that I've had since June. Whenever I power on my PC, it usually makes a click sound, which I read is common for PSUs. However, last night when I pressed the power button, I didn't hear that click and got a bit anxious. After shutting down my PC properly and waiting a bit, the click was there but barely audible. Is this normal, or should I worry about my PSU? I tend to overthink these things, so any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

No need to stress! The click sound you’re hearing is simply from the relay in the soft start circuit of your PSU. If it’s quieter or sometimes absent, it doesn’t mean there’s an issue—especially since you did hear it at times. It’s normal and won’t harm your PC. Just keep an eye on things; if your PSU stops turning on completely or starts tripping your circuit breaker, then you might want to think about getting a replacement under warranty. For now, relax and continue using your setup without fear!
Yeah, if it doesn’t turn on, your PC just won’t start—you’ll know! Just make sure it’s plugged in properly and you’re good to go.
