Hi everyone! I found a seller in my city offering a 2TB NVMe SSD (model SN720) but I'm a bit concerned about its longevity, especially since it's used. I've uploaded some info from CrystalDiskInfo, and I'm particularly anxious about the total hours and read/write issues. Could you give me some advice on whether I should go for it or not? Sorry for my English!

Good news! SSDs mainly wear down from writes, not reads or total hours. The SN720 has a rating of 500 TBW (terabytes written). From the info you shared, it looks like this drive has around 100TB of writes, which means it’s only about 20% used.

Thanks for the info! I thought the 2TB version had a TBW of 1600, but I might be mistaken. So, given that, this one has really only used about 100 TB? That sounds promising.

Actually, you're right! The 2TB version does have an endurance of 1600 TBW. This drive has about 104 TBW used, which is just around 6.5% of its lifespan.

No need to worry about your English, you're doing great!

What’s the asking price? Generally, buying used drives isn't the best choice since they often cost around 90% of the retail price.

The seller wants 100€, while new ones are about 175€ on Amazon for similar brands like Philips; Lexar's a bit more around 200€.
