I'm considering buying some DDR5 RAM, specifically a CL36 5600MHz kit, but I'm debating if I should go for the 6000MHz version instead. I have a 7800x3D CPU paired with a 9070 XT GPU. I figured that if prices drop later, I could always upgrade. Is going with the lower speed really going to affect my performance negatively in the meantime?

Honestly, it probably won’t be a big deal. Are you really concerned about potentially losing just a couple of frames per second? That difference is super minimal. If that’s the case, the 5600MHz option will save you a few bucks without much impact on your performance.
You might also want to consider getting a 64GB kit instead of a more expensive 32GB. Some kits out there are only around 40-50 bucks apart, so you could get more bang for your buck!
Definitely no worries about going for the lower speed RAM right now. The extra cache in your 7800x3D means that it uses RAM less frequently than other CPUs, making the speed difference much less noticeable. I'd focus on getting the best deal you can right now!
I'd say the 400MHz difference isn’t worth stressing over. Plus, with your X3D CPU, it doesn't really matter as much since it handles RAM speed pretty well. If you're feeling adventurous, maybe try overclocking a bit to squeeze out some extra performance!

Nope lmao, is that how minimal it will be? If so I'm totally getting the lower one lol
