Hey everyone! I've been out of the PC gaming scene for a bit and decided to jump back in with a full custom build. I've always leaned towards Intel and NVIDIA, but I've been hearing that AMD is becoming a more popular and powerful choice. Right now, I've got an RTX 5070 Founders Edition and a case, but I'm uncertain about the next steps. I've considered going with the AMD 9800X 3D and an ASUS ROG Strix B850E motherboard, but I've seen some concerns about potential bottlenecking. Will this setup allow me to get the most out of my build, or am I just wasting money? Any advice on parts would be greatly appreciated!

The 9800X 3D is literally one of the fastest gaming CPUs out there! Don't stress too much about bottlenecking; that term gets tossed around a lot and can be misleading. As long as you’re not playing at super high resolutions, your setup should be just fine!

Exactly! The bottleneck mostly varies depending on the resolution and game. For something like CS2 at 1080p, the CPU will matter more, but with graphics-heavy games at higher resolutions, the GPU takes the lead.
