Should I Choose an AIO Cooler or Stick with an Air Cooler?

I recently got an RZ820 cooler but came across a DS360 AIO on a lightning deal for just $35. I need to decide between keeping the RZ820 or going for the AIO, as the AIO seems like a great deal. These coolers will be used for cooling an Ultra 7 265KF processor. Since the RZ820 is outside the return window, I'm leaning towards keeping that, but I'm really tempted by the AIO. Any advice on which one I should go for?

If you really like the aesthetics of the AIO, you might want to keep it. But if you're looking for more performance, air coolers usually do just fine. It really comes down to what you're after in terms of looks versus functionality.

Absolutely! Plus, AIOs can have a shorter lifespan due to their design, so having the air cooler as a backup might be wise if you do decide to go that route.

Generally speaking, an AIO cooler is going to perform better, especially on Intel processors. Just keep in mind they can be pricier and sometimes come with the risk of leaks.

Here's the breakdown: AIOs take up more space, look sleek, and do well controlling temperatures. However, they can take longer to cool down after stressful loads and have a potential for leaks. On the other hand, air coolers are usually cheaper and can last longer, often providing a quieter experience as well. I switched from an AIO to an air cooler, and I actually got a better temperature at a fraction of the cost. Just make sure to check for fan noise if you care about that!

Exactly! AIOs can be more complex with pump noise to consider too. Plus, air coolers can often perform just as well if set up right.
