Have you thought about checking the second-hand market? Sometimes you can find good deals on RAM if you're willing to take a little risk. Just keep in mind both DDR4 and DDR5 have different upgrade paths, so pick what's best for your build!
If you're mostly playing memory-heavy games, it really doesn't make sense to opt for less RAM.
