I'm looking to upgrade my storage situation. Currently, I have a 2TB hard drive where I keep all my games and even Windows. I'm considering getting a 500GB SSD primarily to speed up Windows and maybe install a few games. Would it be better to go with a SATA SSD or an NVMe one? I won't be using this new drive primarily for gaming, just to improve Windows performance.

Honestly, it depends on your use. If you have a decent SATA SSD already, the speed difference might not be huge unless you're doing heavy tasks. But if you're buying new, NVMe is the future.
NVMe is the way to go, especially if you're aiming to speed up Windows. If you can swing it, consider at least a 1TB drive for more breathing room!
If your motherboard has an M.2 slot, definitely go with NVMe. It's way faster compared to SATA, and you'll notice the difference in Windows boot times and overall responsiveness.
I hear you on the speed, but honestly, if budget is tight, just grab whichever is cheaper. SATA still does fine for Windows if you're not pushing it hard with gaming.
Just make sure you check what your motherboard supports. If it has an M.2 slot and the prices are close, go NVMe. If you've got to steal lanes from your GPU for it though, SATA might be the safer choice.
