Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building a gaming PC with a 5070ti GPU and need some advice. I was originally set on the 9800X3D for about $489, but I recently found a bundle deal for the 7800X3D that totals $588, which includes a motherboard, case, and everything. Given the price difference and what I'm building it for, I'd love to hear your thoughts on what I should go for and why!

For most games and resolutions, you're looking at maybe a 1-4% performance boost switching from the 7800X3D to the 9800X3D. Might not be worth the extra money depending on what you're playing!
Why not set both builds up on PC Part Picker? That way, you can really see if that performance boost is worth the price difference for you.
I'd say definitely go for the 7800X3D bundle. The 9800X3D is only about 14-15% faster, and with that deal, you're really getting more bang for your buck. Plus, you get a solid motherboard and case!
Right? That deal is hard to pass up!
Yeah, if you need those components, this deal seems like a no-brainer!
Honestly, if you're looking to save some cash, the Ryzen 7700 without the X is a great value. Unless you're planning on doing heavy mods, the CPU performance benefit may not be worth the extra cost. You could invest that saved money into upgrading your GPU instead!
Totally agree, a solid cheaper option. But if you want slightly more power, the 7700X is a good shout too!
If budget isn't strictly an issue, the 9800X3D is the best CPU, but the savings from the 7800X3D bundle could allow you to get a better cooling system or even more games. I'd lean towards the bundle if you're looking for overall value.
True! And you get extra components which is nice!
Yeah, I feel like the bundle looks appealing!
Great idea! I’ll definitely try that out.
