I'm building a new PC featuring an AMD 7800X3D CPU and an RTX 5070 GPU. I've been weighing the options between two motherboards: the MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk and the MSI B850 Gaming Plus. Generally, it seems that the B650 is quite sufficient for my needs, and some opinions suggest the B850 is overkill. The pricing is also interesting; the B650 is priced at $220 but on sale for $190, while the B850 retails for $250 and is discounted to $170 right now. Given these factors, should I go for the B650 Tomahawk, or is there a compelling reason to get the B850 instead?
