I'm building a new PC and I'm stuck between the Radeon RX 9070 and the RX 9070 XT. The RX 9070 costs around €600, while the XT version is just €50 more at €650. I want a system that's future-proof, especially for gaming at 1440p. Is it worth spending the extra money on the XT version? Here are my other components for context: Ryzen 7 7800X3D, MSI B650 Gaming Plus WIFI, Arctic Freezer 36, be quiet! Pure Power 12M 850W ATX 3.1, Kingston Fury Beast 32GB DDR5-6000, and a 2TB SSD.

Yes, the RX 9070 XT is totally worth it if you can swing that extra €50. It competes well with the 5070 Ti, which has a much higher price at around $750. The performance difference is noticeable, especially for future games at 1440p.

Absolutely go for the RX 9070 XT! For just €50 more, it's a no-brainer. You'll be set for 1440p gaming with great performance. There’s not much downside here, so I'd say it's a smart investment!

I went with the RX 9700 and faced the same choice. The price difference was steeper, but I’d definitely recommend going for the XT version. If you're going with a solid cooling solution like the Red Devil, the performance boost is worth it. Just keep an eye on the temps, though; those can ramp up a bit!

I actually chose the RX 9070 for its better power efficiency. It runs well on 1440p with enough headroom for less demanding games. If power consumption is a big deal for you, that might be the way to go.

That’s a fair point! The 9070 does have its strengths, especially for games that aren't super demanding. Just make sure you're happy with the performance you get!

If you can, definitely consider the RX 9070 XT. The €50 is a small price to pay for the level of performance you’ll get. Also, check out the competition; the 5070 Ti might be worth looking into for a slight extra price.
