Should I Choose the RTX 5070 Ti or RX 7900 XTX for VFX and Gaming?

I'm building a PC primarily for VFX, 3D rendering, and editing tasks using software like Blender, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop. I also game a lot, so gaming performance is a consideration too. I'm looking for a smooth experience with heavy 3D renders and fast workflows in Adobe applications—no lags, just pure smoothness.

I'm currently deciding between two GPUs: the RX 7900 XTX (around $1032) and the RTX 5070 Ti (around $1474). I know the 7900 XTX has more VRAM (24GB), which is advantageous for rendering, but I've heard that NVIDIA cards perform better in Blender and Adobe apps thanks to CUDA and their optimizations.

Both cards seem solid for gaming, but I want one that can handle future games easily. Do you think the 5070 Ti is worth the extra cost, or should I go with the 7900 XTX and save some cash?

For Adobe programs that use GPU acceleration, and in Blender, the 5070 Ti really stands out. Benchmarks show that the 5070 Ti performs significantly better than the 7900 XTX in content creation tasks. For example, in After Effects, the 5070 Ti does a lot better, and in Blender, it renders about twice as fast.

However, the 7900 XTX has that 24GB of VRAM, which can be crucial for larger scenes. If your projects don’t exceed 16GB of VRAM, the 5070 Ti would likely be the better choice overall, especially for speed and optimization in the software you mentioned.

That’s a solid point! I’m not planning to do super heavy scenes in Blender for the next few years—just some medium-level 3D work. So if 16GB of VRAM is sufficient for that, the 5070 Ti does seem like the right option, especially since it’s optimized for quick rendering.
