I'm building a new PC and trying to decide between the RX 9070 XT and the RTX 5070 to pair with my 9800X3D. I had originally leaned towards the 9070 XT due to its performance, but after seeing the performance of the 7800 XT with FSR 4 and considering how impressive DLSS 4.5 is, I'm having second thoughts. The RTX 5070 has 12GB of VRAM, and in my country, it costs €600 for an ASUS Dual-Fan, while the Sapphire Pulse 9070 XT is priced at €680. Which GPU do you think I should go with?

If VRAM is your priority over just raw performance, the RTX 5070 could be worth considering. It's a strong choice at that price point!
I’d recommend the RTX 5070. I’m using it currently, and it’s performing excellently for my needs.
I’ve been looking into both, and considering the prices here, the 9070 XT seems like the best option.
If you're gaming at 1440p, the RX 9070 XT is definitely the way to go. It outperforms the 5070, especially if you play demanding titles.
I’m mainly playing at 1080p and 1440p, but is DLSS 4.5 really advantageous for 4K gaming?
If you're primarily gaming, the RX 9070 XT is a much faster option and it has more VRAM, making it the better choice overall.
But you have to admit, DLSS 4.5 looks significantly better than FSR 4.
The performance gap between these two cards is substantial. You’d want the 9070 XT given the choices. Sure, you'd need DLSS for the 5070 to keep up, but FSR isn’t consistently available across titles. Plus, the native performance of the 9070 XT exceeds what the 5070 can do with DLSS. And let’s not forget the 16GB of memory on the 9070 XT!
When you say 9070 XT is better than the 5070 with DLSS, are you referring to visuals, FPS, or both?
For only €80 difference, I’d definitely go with the 9070 XT. It offers superior performance for the cost.

But the 9070 XT has 16GB of VRAM, while the 5070 only has 12GB, so it definitely has the edge there.
