Hey everyone! I've been using my computer for the past few years, starting with a RX 5500 XT paired with an R5 5600X. I later upgraded to an RTX 4070, and I've got 32GB of DDR4 RAM spread across four sticks. Recently, I've noticed some really long loading times on certain games—like Elden Ring taking about 5 minutes—and Enshrouded struggling with texture loading in-game. My framerates are decent, ranging from 60 to 144 FPS depending on the game, and I aim for 2K but can adjust to 1080p if needed, as I have a 144Hz 2K monitor. I'm not sure if I should think about upgrading any other parts, especially because I know it can get pricey. Mainly, I game, but I do some coding here and there.

It sounds like you might want to check your storage setup. If you're using an HDD for games, upgrading to a SATA SSD or even an NVMe SSD would be a game-changer for your loading times. Newer games sometimes struggle with texture streaming from HDDs, leading to those long delays. With your 5600X and 4070, you're in a good spot performance-wise, so storage might be your bottleneck.

I actually have an SSD for Windows and a few games, plus an external HDD for data and lighter games. I use an external SSD for heavier titles. Do you think that setup is still slowing me down?
