I've been using Windows my whole life, but I'm ready to dive into Linux. I've watched a bunch of videos about it, and now I'm curious whether I should dual boot alongside Windows or just go for a clean install instead. As someone in IT and studying computer science engineering, I need something that's not too complicated for all the software I use for school. I've heard some games, like those using Riot Vanguard, aren't really supported on Linux, and I tend to play a few titles with anti-cheat systems that might not be compatible. Most of my daily games seem fine for Linux, though. I recently built a full AMD PC (CPU + GPU), which I've heard runs well with Linux. I'm also thinking about trying Arch for its customization options, but I'm open to other suggestions too. Any thoughts or recommendations?

If you can, dual boot using two separate drives. It'll keep things neat. You can also check out your games on areweanticheatyet.com to see which ones work. Mint is great for beginners but if you’re feeling adventurous, Arch could be an exciting challenge!
Dual booting with Linux Mint is a great way to start. The Cinnamon desktop is user-friendly and perfect for getting a feel for Linux without overwhelming yourself. Plus, if Mint doesn't work for you, exploring other distros is always an option!
If you're not sure about how well Linux will fit your current workflow, I definitely recommend dual booting. Maybe grab a second SSD if you can; it's usually easier that way. It’ll give you the flexibility to keep some Windows games around while you explore Linux.
Check out Pop!_OS for a dual boot setup; it comes with drivers pre-installed for most hardware, which is super helpful. It’s a smooth experience for gamers!
Why not go for a quadruple boot? Just to see which one suits you best! I really like Solus Budgie; it’s clean and intuitive. Just explore and find what feels right for you!
Yeah, that's solid advice! Even with just one drive, it keeps your options open.
