Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade my PC soon, and I've decided on the 7800x3D for my CPU along with some RAM and a motherboard. Now I'm stuck trying to choose between the 5070 Ti and the 9070 XT for my GPU. The 9070 XT seems like the better value at around $800, while the 5070 Ti is priced at $1,125.79. My main gaming focus is on 1440p max settings with ray tracing, and I also want to ensure it handles VR gaming well, as my current rig with the 2070 Super has really struggled there. I'm considering getting a new monitor, but that's not a priority right now. One thing that has me leaning toward the 5070 Ti is DLSS and Frame Generation, which could be really beneficial for future-proofing. I don't plan on doing overclocking or undervolting either. So which GPU would best suit my needs?

For VR, I'd go with the NVIDIA 5070 Ti if you're looking for a smoother experience with features like DLSS and Frame Generation—those can be game-changers for frame rates in demanding games. Just make sure you're okay with the price difference!
I recently switched from a 3080 to the 9070 XT, and it's been fantastic! I was worried about AMD's past performance, but they've made impressive strides. If ray tracing is a priority and you're not keen on overclocking, the 9070 XT may surprise you!
Good to hear! AMD's latest GPUs have improved a lot, and the 9070 XT seems to handle ray tracing quite well now.
If the 5070 Ti costs that much more and doesn't offer a significant performance leap, I'd say stick with the 9070 XT. It's performing well for ray tracing and will give you a solid gaming experience at 1440p without breaking the bank. Plus, if you have extra cash, you could buy a monitor upgrade instead!
That sounds like a solid plan! With ray tracing improvements in AMD's RDNA 4, the 9070 XT is still a good option for high-performance games.
Ultimately, get the best card you can afford that meets your needs. If you're okay dropping the cash on the 5070 Ti, it might pay off in the long run for future games. But if you want great value, the 9070 XT performs well for the price!
That’s true, but if you think you'll primarily be gaming at 1440p, the 9070 XT has solid performance and is a great value for less money.
