Should I Get a New Laptop or Fix My Current One?

I'm having some major issues with my HP Dragonfly Pro laptop. The battery is advertised to last about 8 hours, but I can barely get 3 hours out of it. It's also running really slow, taking forever to load applications. On top of that, my audio and video are glitching; they keep pausing and playing at random. My media player isn't working properly either. I'm wondering if it's time for a new laptop or if there's a way to repair my current one. If I do need a new one, I'm looking for something that can handle coding and programming tasks, especially since I'm in college learning Python and want to be prepared for more complex projects down the line. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Have you considered getting a MacBook with Apple Silicon? They’re quite affordable for the base model, super fast, and have great battery life. Ideal for taking to classes without worrying about charging all the time.

I’ve heard good things about MacBooks! The Air seems like a solid choice for programming.

Before you think about buying a new laptop, have you tried debugging your current one? It’s relatively new, so you might still have warranty options. It could save you money!

Any laptop can run Python without issues, so you're good there. It might help to share your budget, though. It’ll make it easier to suggest some options that fit what you need!
