I'm building a new PC and I'm wondering if it's worth investing in a wireless card. Do most motherboards come with Wi-Fi built-in these days? If I do need one, could you suggest some reliable options? Thanks!

You might want to consider that many budget motherboards still lack Wi-Fi, so double-check the specs before you buy. It could save you some hassle later on, as having onboard Wi-Fi often works better than an add-on card!

Most new motherboards come with built-in Wi-Fi, and this setup usually works better than adding a separate card. It's odd to pay for a card when you could get a motherboard that includes Wi-Fi. Plus, a lot of these come with Bluetooth support as well.

In some cases, it’s cost-effective to choose a motherboard that has Wi-Fi included. I have an MSI B550M Gaming Pro, and it doesn’t have built-in Wi-Fi, but a good card I found is the TX55e, which was highly rated a few months ago.

Before you spend money on a wireless card, check if your motherboard has Wi-Fi already included. Many modern motherboards do, and if it doesn't, go for a well-rated PCI-E Wi-Fi 6 card. Avoid those USB adapters since they often cause problems.

If you can connect your PC to the internet via an Ethernet cable, I wouldn't recommend getting a wireless card. But if Wi-Fi is your only option, then absolutely go for it!
