I'm building a new PC using a 9800X3D processor and an ASRock X870E Taichi motherboard. I'm trying to decide between two RAM options: 2x24GB Kingston Fury Renegade 7200 CL38 that a friend is offering for a good price (it reportedly works well around 6000 CL28), or a new 2x32GB 6400 CL32 kit that costs about 30% more. I know the optimal RAM speed is around 6000 CL30, and while 64GB might be more future-proof, I'm concerned that the 2x32GB kit may not reach those performance metrics. What do you think?

It really depends on how comfortable you are with tuning RAM. If you're not planning to overclock much, the 6400 could be more reliable out of the box. But if you’re willing to tweak settings, the 7200 could perform better in the long run.
I’ve been hearing similar recommendations to steer clear of the ASRock boards with this CPU. It might be better to invest in a motherboard from a more stable brand to avoid potential headaches down the line.
Honestly, I'd be cautious about using that ASRock motherboard with the 9800X3D. There's been a lot of chatter about reliability issues, and several users have reported problems with CPUs dying on those boards. You might want to look at alternatives if you can.
Yeah, I've seen those posts too. Maybe try a different brand altogether for better stability.

True, but I've heard some people struggle to get higher speeds on certain boards, so be ready for some trials!
