Hey everyone! I'm looking to build a gaming PC from scratch that can run games at 1440p, but I'm really tight on budget. I've got two main options to consider: 1) an AM4 platform with a Ryzen 5 5600 plus a Radeon 9070 or 9070 XT, which would cost around €300 for the CPU and €650 for the GPU; or 2) an AM5 platform with a Ryzen 5 7600 paired with a 7800 XT or possibly even a used 4080 Ti, totaling about €450 for the CPU and €500 for the GPU. I'm concerned about how "future-proof" the AM4 CPUs will be. What do you think? I'm based in Italy. Appreciate any advice!

With your budget in mind, I'd recommend going for the AM5 build! The newer platform could give you better longevity down the road, especially with games getting more demanding. Plus, the Ryzen 5 7600 with a good GPU like the 7800 XT should handle 1440p gaming really well. Just make sure to check current prices in your area before making a final choice!
What do you think would be the best GPU to pair with it? Is the 7800 XT the way to go?
