Should I Install My New 5070 Ti Right Away or Wait for Driver Issues to Be Fixed?

I recently bought a 5070 Ti, and I've been seeing a lot of scary reports about driver problems from Nvidia. To be honest, it feels a bit ridiculous that I'm even asking this, but I didn't want to jump in too soon if others have had bad experiences. I've installed my 5070 Ti, and it seems to be working fine for at least one of my games, but I'd love to hear more from people who have upgraded. What do you think? Should I just go for it or hold off?

I've had no issues with my 5080, so it really seems to depend on your specific hardware combination. There are definitely many people out there with no problems at all.

Honestly, just install it already! I built a system with the 5070 Ti too, and it works great for me. If you wait too long, you might lose your chance to return it if there's any hardware issue. Plus, you really can't tell what you've got until you give it a shot anyway!

Totally agree. Don't miss out on your return window! Go for a simple setup first to ease any worries, like using just one monitor.

I just got my 5070 Ti a couple of days ago and installed the latest drivers right away with zero issues. I think the concerns are being overblown; maybe check that any problems you're hearing about have been resolved with updates.

Reddit often amplifies the negatives. For every complaint, there are probably many people not having issues. But if you're really anxious about it, waiting could be an option for peace of mind.

No way, install it and have some fun! You worked hard for that money, you deserve to enjoy your new GPU without worrying too much about drivers.
