Should I Keep My Current RAM Setup or Make Changes for Stability?

I'm currently using a setup with 4x8GB Corsair DDR5 5200MHz RAM, but I've been having some memory-related issues, including blue screens. These problems started after I upgraded from a 2x8GB to a 4x8GB configuration. I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to remove two sticks to achieve better stability, especially for tasks that don't require as much memory. I really don't want to spend money on new 2x16GB sticks since they're quite pricey. Any advice?

Start by running Memtest86 to check for issues. If you run into problems, pull the sticks out one by one to identify if there's a faulty stick or a slot issue. Also, compatibility can be tricky without knowing the exact model of your RAM and motherboard. If selling your current sticks could help fund new ones, it might be worth considering, but make sure there’s no compatibility issue first. You could also try dropping the frequency to 4800MHz in the BIOS as a quick fix.

Definitely run some memory tests. It's possible that one of your sticks is bad, or you might need to revert your settings to JEDEC specs (like 4800MHz with lower CAS latency) to get everything to play nice together. Test them one at a time, and let them run overnight to catch any issues. Good luck with it! You can find Memtest86 [here](https://www.memtest86.com/). The free version will do just fine.

You might want to tweak the timings a bit. Slowing them down a little isn't a huge deal if it stabilizes your system. Just remember, having four different sticks or mismatched sets can lead to more problems than just some slight slowdown in performance.
