Should I Keep My RTX 5080 or Wait for the Super Version?

I just got some new parts for my build and picked up an RTX 5080 from Micro Center. However, I heard there's a new RTX 5080 Super coming out with more memory, and I'm torn about whether I should return my 5080 and wait for the Super to drop. What do you think?

It's really up to you! If you need to get your PC up and running now and you’re not having issues with the RTX 5080's performance, I say stick with it. The 5080 is a powerhouse already, and you're likely to wait ages for the Super, not to mention it'll probably be overpriced when it first comes out. Just enjoy your new build! There's always going to be something better right around the corner.

If you haven’t even opened the 5080 yet, you might want to think about what your current needs are. If you're not stressing about memory, keeping the 5080 is probably the way to go. However, if you're really keen on getting that extra memory and you're not in a rush, waiting might be worth considering, though it's a gamble either way!

Honestly, the 5080 is solid. Unless you're really needing that extra memory and can wait, it’s probably worth holding onto your card. Plus, the 5080 Super doesn’t even have a confirmed release date yet, and when it arrives, good luck finding one at a reasonable price! You could definitely upgrade later if you find it's necessary.

Exactly! And if you're gaming at 1440p, you might not even need the Super. Just stick with what you have for now.
