As a new PC owner renting a basement room with no heating or AC, I'm wondering how much I need to stress about the temperature where I keep my PC. I have a small heater for cold days and a standing AC unit for when it's hot, but since I live in Virginia, I'm worried about overheating my PC during the summer if I leave it downstairs. I've seen conflicting advice online, so I'd appreciate some guidance from those who know more about this.

You're worrying way too much about this! PCs can handle a bit of warmth, just like we do. It takes extreme heat for a PC to get damaged, and if it does get too hot, it'll just shut down to protect itself.
