Hey everyone, I'm 24 and I've always had a passion for technology. I've dabbled in coding and am keen to delve deeper into it. I've heard mixed opinions about the job market being saturated and that self-teaching might be the way to go. However, my job is offering to cover 100% of the tuition for an online Computer Science degree. Should I take advantage of this free degree, or would it be wiser to follow a self-taught path? I feel like self-learning could be quicker, but I also know having a degree could enhance my job applications. What do you think?

Definitely go for the degree! Since they're covering it completely, the degree will have more weight with employers than just being self-taught. Plus, you’ll still benefit from learning independently on the side, which can complement your studies.
I agree! It's a no-brainer to take the free degree. While you can self-teach, having that formal education will open more doors and give you a stronger resume in this competitive job market.
Thanks for the advice! I really appreciate it!
