Should I Return My Lenovo Thinkpad If I’m Having Driver Issues on Linux?

I recently picked up a refurbished Lenovo Thinkpad P16v Gen 1 and I'm running into some trouble. I upgraded from a Legion 5 where I easily found drivers on Lenovo's website, but now I'm struggling to locate any drivers for my new laptop model running Linux. My internet speeds are noticeably slow (under 1 MBps) compared to my old laptop, which can pull 400 Mbps in the same location. I'm starting to wonder if these issues are related to drivers or if there's something else at play. Is it worth sticking with this laptop and trying to troubleshoot, or should I just return it? It's on a fresh install of Debian 13, and here are the specs: AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 7840HS, NVIDIA RTX A500 GPU, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, and Qualcomm Wi-Fi 6E.

You might be overthinking the driver situation. Most Linux distros support hardware out of the box, and often, you don't need specific drivers from the manufacturer. The slow internet could stem from something else. If you find more issues, it could point to faulty hardware, but give it some time and check things out before making a call.

Got it, so the internet issues might not be driver-related? Sounds like it could be something else to look into.
