Should I Sell My Extra RAM or Add It to My PC?

I built my PC a couple of months ago with a Ryzen 9600x and an Asus B650E-Plus motherboard. Currently, I have 32GB of Silicon Power xpower zenith RAM (2x16GB, DDR5-6000, CL30). Newegg sent me an additional 16GB of Teamgroup T-Force Delta RGB RAM (2x8GB, DDR5-6000, CL38) as a free gift, but I haven't used it yet. I'm debating whether to keep my current setup or add the free RAM for a total of 48GB. I've heard conflicting opinions about whether mixing RAM with different timings (CL30 vs CL38) can cause problems and if it's better to use only two slots instead of four. What do you think? Should I sell the extra RAM or add it?

I'd say go ahead and sell it. Mixing RAM can hurt your overall performance, especially with the mismatched timings and frequencies. Keeping it simple with just your existing 32GB is probably best for stability.

Thanks for the input! I'm definitely leaning towards selling since I could use the extra cash, and my current setup is running smoothly.

Yeah, selling it is a good idea. You can't really mix and match RAM kits without potential issues. If you ever really need more RAM, just get a matched kit instead of using all four slots.

I appreciate the advice! Honestly, I've managed just fine with 32GB, and like I said, I've been okay with 16GB before, so I think I'll let it go.
