Should I sell my PS5 to upgrade to a better gaming PC?

I'm planning to switch to PC gaming this December, but I was hoping to keep my PS5 until next November. With my PS5 sale, I could boost my budget for a better GPU. I'm thinking about potentially buying a PS5 again next summer just to play GTA VI. Do you think it's worth selling my PS5 now or should I hold onto it?

Honestly, I wouldn't sell it just yet. You've already invested in games and accessories for your PS5, and if you're thinking about getting another one later, that's just additional cost. Keeping the PS5 would let you save up more for an even better PC down the line.

I get where you're coming from, but you need to consider your current budget and the costs of PC parts right now. If you think you'll spend $1100 on a decent rig, you might want to wait and see if those parts become cheaper in the coming months. Plus, GTA VI probably won’t hit PC for a while—it can take a year or two after the console release.

I think it's tough because if you sell your PS5, you might miss out on playing GTA VI right away, plus games you already own will have to be repurchased on PC. Prices for PC components aren't getting any cheaper either, so if you wait, maybe prices will drop. So it really depends on your budget and what gaming experience you're looking for. Personally, I’d consider waiting a bit longer before making a decision.

Keeping your PS5 is a smart move, especially since it's likely that games like GTA VI will take time to come to PC. You’ll be able to enjoy a wider variety of games and often at better prices, plus you'll have a better experience once you finally do transition to PC.
