Should I Stick with My 9070 XT or Return It for a 5070 Ti?

I just got all the parts for my new PC build, and I'm ready to assemble everything. However, I've heard that AMD is ending driver support for the 9070 XT sooner than expected, which has made me hesitant. The GPU is still unopened, so returning it for a 5070 Ti is an option. I plan to use CachyOS, and I've read that having an AMD GPU might make things easier. Has anyone else faced a similar dilemma, or does anyone have thoughts on this situation? Am I overreacting?

The driver news mostly impacts Windows users. For Linux, community-supported drivers like Mesa are still actively maintained. You might have solid support for the next five years. While AMD's short driver support isn't great, you're likely fine if you're sticking with Linux and using RDNA.

That's true, I could hold onto the 9070 XT for now and sell it later when new Nvidia cards come out.

I really hope AMD reconsiders their support decisions. If people start returning their GPUs, it might send a message to them.
