My RX 7900 XT recently stopped working, and I'm in the market for a new GPU. I'm debating whether to get another 7900 XT or if I should upgrade to the 9070 XT instead. Is the upgrade worth it?

Before you buy anything, check if your old card is still under warranty. If it is, consider RMA-ing it for a replacement. If you decide to buy new, the 9070 XT usually gives the best value for the price.
If the 9070 XT is around $600, I'd go for that. But if the 5070 Ti is under $750, that's also an option. Just avoid picking up an older card unless you find it at a very low price, like $400-$450 for a used 7900 XT.
The 9070 XT does have a slight edge in performance, but don’t expect a night-and-day difference. Plus, it has some newer features like FSR4. What are both cards asking in your area?
I'd recommend going for the 9070 XT. It's noticeably faster and comes with access to FSR4, which can really enhance your gaming experience.
Good point! I think I'd prefer to go for something newer if the price is right.
