I recently got a used Lenovo IdeaPad U310 notebook that has Windows 10 Home N on it. Unfortunately, it's too old to upgrade to Windows 11, and while I've seen guides on how to install it anyway, I'm not sure that's a good idea for keeping my data secure. On top of that, I don't really know much about computers, and even the concept of coding makes me nervous. I'm primarily using this machine for basic tasks like taking notes, making presentations, and browsing the web. Should I stay on Windows 10 and try to upgrade to Windows 11, or should I just switch to Linux?

What do you use more: Google services like Sheets and Docs, or Microsoft Office? If you're leaning towards Google, switching to Linux Mint would be smooth sailing. It’s really user-friendly and should suit your needs just fine. If you ever need app recommendations, feel free to reach out!
If you can get Windows 11 running with updates safely, go ahead. But if not, consider a user-friendly Linux distribution like Linux Mint. It generally works well for basic tasks and is a great option for those who aren't very tech-savvy.
I use both Microsoft and Google, so I think I could manage using just Google. I’ve heard good things about Linux Mint being easy to use, but I’m a bit worried about the whole terminal thing. I'm just scared of messing everything up!
