I've been using Windows my whole life, but I switched to Ubuntu LTS a couple of months ago, and overall, I'm pretty happy with it. It's smooth and user-friendly, especially with the help of Gemini AI. However, I have a Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1, and I've noticed a few annoying issues that aren't deal-breakers, but they do bug me. I know Ubuntu has some criticisms regarding Snap and corporate ownership, but those don't bother me too much. My main priority is finding something fast, intuitive, and low maintenance. I've been considering trying Fedora Workstation since it's still user-friendly and might handle the 2-in-1 features better while keeping the advantages I like about Ubuntu. I plan to dual boot with Windows and Ubuntu just in case, but I'm curious if Fedora is really the best choice or if I should look into something else. My laptop specs are an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H with 32GB of RAM, and I mainly use it as a regular laptop with a second monitor or as a tablet when needed.

I moved away from Ubuntu due to how Canonical is pushing Snap, and now I'm on Debian KDE. If you're looking for something else, that's a solid choice too!
For a good touch experience, I'd recommend trying Fedora or the latest version of Ubuntu (non-LTS) instead of the LTS version. Testing Fedora on a USB stick could help you see if your hardware is supported without installing it!
By the way, does anyone here know if there's a preferred distro for Remote Desktop access? I find the experience varies quite a bit!
You should check if Fedora works well with your specific hardware since 2-in-1s can be tricky. Fedora generally runs great for most people, so it's worth a shot!
Mint or Fedora are both great options for what you need. They share some similarities and can handle user-friendly needs well!
I have a Yoga 7i too! Fedora runs really well for the 2-in-1 with good touch support. I tried the KDE edition and it's great! Just give the Live Environment a try before fully switching.

Thanks, could you share any specific benefits or downsides for choosing one over the other?
