I'm looking to enhance my overall computer science skills, especially in back-end development. I've learned Python, Java, C++, and JavaScript and I'm aiming for a summer internship. I'm considering taking a back-end development course, like the one offered by Meta on Coursera. Do you think this will help me in landing an internship? I'd love to hear your opinions! Thanks!

Yeah, I agree. If you're in a CS degree program, focus on building projects or contributing to open-source rather than just certificates. However, if you don't have a degree, taking that course could be a good stepping stone. It shows initiative and you might pick up some practical skills that can be useful in interviews!

It really depends on where you’re at in your education. If you’re already pursuing a CS degree, just taking beginner courses might not set you apart from other candidates. But if you’re not in a CS program or looking to switch careers, courses from companies like Meta, Microsoft, or IBM could definitely add some value to your resume! Just make sure to also work on real projects to showcase your skills better.
