Upgrading My CPU But Now My PC Won’t Display Anything

I tried to upgrade my CPU from a Ryzen 5 3600 to a Ryzen 7 5800X, but now my computer turns on without displaying anything. I learned that I might need to update the BIOS before changing CPUs, and that could be why it's not working. After realizing this, I replaced the new CPU with the old one, but the display issue persisted. I also cleaned some thermal paste off the CPU pins using a toothbrush and isopropyl alcohol, and I'm worried that I might have damaged something. The power light comes on, the fans spin, but there's still no display. I'm considering taking it to a repair shop tomorrow, but I'm hoping to find some advice on what I might be able to do to fix this myself first.

Make sure to let your old CPU run for a bit—sometimes it takes a few minutes for Ryzen to train the RAM on a new boot. Also, what motherboard are you using? It can make a difference. I upgraded from a 3600 to a 5700X recently, and it was fantastic!

I only let it run for about 2 minutes. I'm using a B450 Tomahawk motherboard.
