Hey everyone! I'm considering enrolling in a summer course that focuses on object-oriented programming and various related topics like Design Patterns, HTML, JavaScript, MVC, and Native Mobile Development. I've completed my A levels in IT where I learned some Java and HTML, and I've had a bit of UI practice. However, I do tend to forget some concepts across the languages I've studied. The course is about 6 weeks long, which is quite condensed compared to the typical 15-week schedule, and I'll likely be working during that time as well. I want to make sure I won't be overwhelmed or burned out. Anyone who's taken a similar course before have any advice on whether I can handle it?

What are your other options, though? Are there any alternatives to this course?
You can learn a lot of the material on your own since the syllabus is usually available online. OOP concepts can be tricky at first, but they become easier with practice. Consider that you might end up teaching yourself anyway, whether you take the course or not. Also, check out RateMyProfessors to see who will be teaching—it can really impact how much you learn!
Thanks for the advice! I definitely want to do well since this is a required course. I’ve heard summer courses are easier to pass, so I’m trying to minimize my stress for next year.
Go for it! It sounds like a great opportunity to solidify your knowledge and skills in OOP. You seem motivated, and that’s a big part of success!
Okay. If you have any tips on what I can check out to prep myself better for it?
Nothing else; either I take this course or just enjoy my summer and struggle later with other courses.
