Hey everyone, I'm setting up a dual boot system with Windows and Ubuntu, and I've heard mixed opinions on whether I should disable Windows updates. I've read it might interfere with the dual boot setup, but I'm not sure how true that is. What do you all think?

I personally turn off Windows updates, but it's mainly because I get annoyed with the endless popups when I occasionally use Windows. You can only pause the updates temporarily, and to stop them longer, you’ve got to dive into the advanced settings, which can be a hassle. The longest pause is 31 days! But I'm not worried about it messing with my Linux install since it’s on a separate drive.
Is it risky to update Windows then?
