Should I Upgrade My CPU and Motherboard for Windows 11?

Hey everyone! I need some advice regarding my setup since my work is going to require Windows 11 once Windows 10 hits its end of life. I built my PC about 8 years ago, and most of the components are original except for the RAM, NVME, and GPU which I've upgraded recently. Currently, I'm rocking an i7 8700k, and I've been hearing that it won't be supported by Windows 11, which is pretty frustrating since my PC can still handle AAA games with ease. Should I consider replacing my CPU, motherboard, and case, or is there a way to sidestep the TPM 2.0 requirement and keep using my current hardware?

Yeah, Windows 11 should work just fine with your current setup! If it helps, maybe try following a guide to ensure everything is compatible first. No need to spend money if your machine is still performing well!

Actually, your i7-8700k is fully supported by Windows 11, despite what some sources might say. So, you're good there! No need to rush into an upgrade if your system is running fine. You should be able to upgrade to Windows 11 without any issues.

If you still want to upgrade for future-proofing, let us know your location and budget. If you're in the U.S., being close to a Micro Center can really help with deals on CPU and motherboard combos! Just maybe keep that under $500 if that's your budget.

Thanks for the info! I'm going to check out the video that was shared with me first and see if that works. If not, my budget is under $500 for an upgrade.
