Hey everyone! I'm in a bit of a dilemma regarding my PC setup. Currently, I have an AMD Athlon 3000G CPU with integrated graphics, and I'm using it to play games like Roblox and Brawlhalla at 1080p on low settings. I got the whole PC for €100, and here's what I'm working with:
- Motherboard: ASRock A320M-HDV R4.0
- CPU: AMD Athlon 3000G (with Vega 3 iGPU)
- RAM: 8GB DDR4 (2x4GB)
- Storage: 120GB SSD
- Power Supply: 500W
- OS: Windows 11
- Monitor: 21:9 ultrawide 144Hz
Should I save up for a GPU first or upgrade the CPU? I'd ideally like to get a consistent 144 FPS. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Honestly, your CPU is pretty outdated for gaming. Upgrading to something like a Ryzen 5600X would help a lot in overall performance. But, if you're looking for immediate gaming improvement, a GPU upgrade is the way to go first. Just keep in mind you'll need a decent CPU to avoid bottlenecking later.
I’d say focus on the GPU since you’re using integrated graphics. However, it’s worth looking into a budget CPU upgrade as well. If you can swing it, try to plan for both soon since you really need a decent balance for gaming.
Since you're stuck with integrated graphics right now, I'd recommend getting a GPU first. The performance boost you'll get from even a budget GPU will be way better than the CPU you currently have. You mentioned you want to play at 144 FPS, so something like a used GTX 1050 Ti could be a solid choice without breaking the bank.
