Should I Upgrade My Gaming PC for Better Performance?

I've built my PC a couple of years ago and I'm mainly into single-player games, but I do play Marvel Rivals regularly. I'm not focused on squeezing every bit of performance out of it, but I do want a smoother gaming experience. Lately, I've noticed that loading times are longer, and my shaders take a while to appear while playing. I've got an AMD Ryzen 5 5600x, 16GB of RAM, an MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK motherboard, and an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT for the GPU. So, should I consider upgrading any of these components for better performance? Thank you for your help! Sorry if my knowledge on this isn't the best!

It looks like your GPU should be the first thing to consider for an upgrade since it was one of the issues pointed out. But before diving into that, have you thought about whether your game is installed on an SSD? If it's still on an HDD, switching to an SSD would really improve your loading times. It's usually not too pricey and can make a significant difference!

It's actually on my C drive, which I think is just a local disk. So it's probably an HDD, huh?

Definitely check your storage drive in Task Manager. If it's an HDD, investing in an SSD would be a great move. That alone should give you a noticeable boost in loading times for your games. They’re quite affordable these days and straightforward to install!

Honestly, your current hardware is still quite capable! If you want to squeeze more life out of it, try updating your motherboard's BIOS. Also, consider getting a Ryzen 7 5700X, plus an extra 16GB RAM kit. This setup should keep you good for another couple of years. Your GPU is pretty much on par with a PS5, but with the added benefits of a desktop. If you do replace your CPU, you could either sell the old one or keep it as a backup!
