I'm in the process of upgrading my PC, which definitely needs a new CPU. I currently have an i7-6700k and an RTX 2070 SUPER. I'm planning to upgrade my CPU to a Ryzen 5 7600x3D because there's a great bundle deal at a local store. However, I'm wondering if my current GPU will hold back the performance of the new CPU, as my knowledge about PCs isn't what it used to be. Should I upgrade the GPU now or wait?

The RTX 2070 SUPER will definitely limit your new CPU a bit, but that's completely fine! I recommend sticking with it for now and seeing how your system performs. You can always decide to upgrade later based on your needs.
There's really no harm in trying your new CPU with the RTX 2070 SUPER first. Depending on what you plan to do with your PC, it could very well be the setup you need right now!
If your GPU isn't giving you issues right now, I'd suggest holding off on a new one until mid-2027 when better deals are expected to come out, especially if you're aiming for high-performance gear. Just a thought since my GPU died recently and I’m using something low-budget while I wait.
I say buy a new GPU now, don’t wait!
The 2070 SUPER is still a solid choice. You could consider the 9060 XT 16GB for about $350, which would give you around a 50% performance boost, complementing your new CPU nicely. Since there are options under $500 that offer double the performance, it might not make sense to wait.
What GPUs do you recommend? My total budget for this upgrade is around $1000 (maybe a bit more, but I'd prefer to stay under). I've settled on the Ryzen 5 7600X3D, 32GB Corsair Vengeance RAM, and an MSI B850 GAMING PRO WIFI6E motherboard, which totals just under $500.

Why should I go for the GPU now? I'm trying to figure out if I should buy just the CPU, motherboard, and RAM or include the GPU, as it's a difference of about $500-$600.
