Should I Upgrade My GPU or CPU for 1440p Gaming?

I'm struggling to decide what to upgrade in my setup. Right now, I'm having a hard time pushing 1440p with my current hardware and I want to achieve higher frame rates at that resolution. My specs are: Intel i5 9500 CPU, RTX 3060 12GB GPU, 32GB RAM, and a 650W PSU. Should I prioritize upgrading the GPU or the CPU?

Honestly, it seems like you could use upgrades on both fronts. The RTX 3060 is more of a 1080p card and may struggle at 1440p since it's a couple of generations old. Plus, the i5 9500 is also aging. If you're serious about gaming at 1440p, you'll likely need to consider both parts.

That might sound extreme, but remember, there are still gamers using much older setups. The 9th gen isn't that far behind, but yes, the 3060 isn't ideal for 1440p. Maybe check out older titles or indie games where it can still shine.
